The Wirehaired Vizsla as falconry dog

Being a firm and reliable pointer and a hard working gundog that works on any kind of terrian, the Wirehaired Vizsla is an excellent falconry dog. This breed is very easy to train, so it is aso good for beginner gundig trainers.
In Hungary, where we have lots of bushy, dense cover and a large variaty of terrain, the Wirehaired Vizsla is a very popular falconry dog.

It is such an intelligent breed that it means no problem to use the same dog under gun and bird as well. In spite I work my dogs mostly under the gun, and not being a falcner, I have many falcner acquintances, and have worked my dogs several times under hawks and falcons without any problem. It was rather the bird, who had to get used to the 'new dog'.
